Had to drop the truck off this morning. AC blower is running, but no air is coming out of the vents. Also have a leak in the roof near the pano moonroof. While it is there, will have them do an oil change, rotate the tires, and take care of the trailer controller recall.

Less than 10K on this truck and already having issues. Hope this isn't the start of more to come.

I love the moonroof and I was well aware I would face issues with it. Let's see if this is a one time fix, or a pattern of issues.

Scary enough, the service tech told me that the pano moonroof is like your bathroom sink. When you run water in it, it drains, but if you throw a 10 gallon bucket of water in there, it will spill out everywhere. So basically the moonroof is meant to keep water out only when it is raining a little. I was not very happy with that explanation, lol.

That is not true what so ever. I hate hearing that BS. It rains like a son of a gun on the coast here, if that was the case all sunroofs on f150's would of been recalled by now. He is just plain lying to you! Ask that moron: Point in my owners manual where it states not to take my Raptor outside when it is raining!!! Can you imagine how this sounds now! Hope your other issues are fixed easily. Obviously one of the drain tubes is not attached properly or there is another issue. And fyi, if your sink overflows because the water coming out of the faucet is filling the bowl of the sink faster than its draining, you have a problem with your drain, period!! I wish I had the money to just fly down to dealerships and call them out on all of their BS when I hear these stories! Now, please don't take this as an attack on you, I'm venting because dealers get away with this because the techs are too bloody lazy. Did they remove your headliner, etc, do they have a video showing the water overflowing over the sides of the moonroof while all 4 drains are pouring water on the floor of the shop? I bet not! Okay, I'm done now. What a beautiful sunny day it is outside :favorites13:

You do know that snow has to thaw first before would cause trouble draining, right?

I thought all you guys precip. was snow.

Yeah, I’m no cheerleader for the moonroof but I’ve been in some respectable downpours that register favorably on the Irish rain scale. No leaks.

I've had four of the pano sunroofs and none have leaked. My son on the other hand has had trouble with his 2016 model. He parks under a bunch of oak trees in his driveway and the droppings from the trees in the spring clog the drains every year giving him trouble. His extended warranty has served him well. He's up to $12K in repairs with his recent (second) intake manifold replacement.
Seems there are "Monday" trucks and "Friday" trucks. And I'm the lucky one who once had a Friday before a holiday truck.

No, that’s not correct, and there is nothing “scary” here. The panoramic roof uses a “wet” seal, just like all vehicles with a sunroof/moonroof.

Trying to seal a movable glass panel on a horizontal roof surface would result in water leaks regardless of the seal type. That’s why a ”wet” seal is used to channel water that bypasses the seal into the roof opening panel drain tubes, which drain below the vehicle.

Intake manifold replacement for what? As far as the roof opening panels, clogged drains are not a defect, that’s on the owner.

I guess the owners manual also says, don’t wash your vehicle with water, use sandpaper only to scrape the dirt off! I’m still pissed off!

While I realize I can sully my reputation around here, I totally agree with Coronaraptor. What a mother lode of BS that dude handed you.

Few months back we had a storm here in NY that caused the ground water to swell so that it came in the bottom of my chimney by the foundation and found the path of least resistance, my flue pipe. It was a friggin mess in the basement. Never saw or heard rain that hard or prolonged. Yet, my former Gen2 was parked outside and didn’t have a drop get through the roof.

Any time water gets in, as our fine knowledgeable resident ford tech says, it’s a drain issue.
