Hello all, looking to order a 19 Raptor but had a question on the true vehicle height. It shows 68.5 inches on the specification for the crew cab, but I swear I saw a Raptor in the parking garage at work, which is 68 inches. Can anyone verify? Or maybe the owner de-aired his tires a bit? Would like to know so I have a game plan as to where to park the beast of a truck at work. Thanks, Mark

6ft 10 in is the minimum I feel safe pulling into. Unfortunately sometimes that number isn't wholly accurate so you have to be very carefully. A 6’8 garage would be a no go for me

Maybe possible but not within my tolerances

The height is 78.5" based on specs listed on Ford's website. My parking garage is 6'-8" and it fits but it is tight so I would say 78.5" or 6'-6 1/2" is accurate for stock height. Typically parking garages list clearance info in feet and inches, not inches so I think you may be confusing 68" with 6'-8" clearance. No way a raptor would fit in a parking garage that is 68", that is 5'-8".

You are correct. I adjusted the original post.

I think you are mistaken and it is 6'8" not 68". 68" is five foot eight which is ridiculously low for a parking garage. Even the ones in DC that don't allow SUVs/trucks are still 6' - 6'2"

I have also never seen a parking garage with it's height limit only in inches. 6'8" would still be a little tight I'd watch out for random pipe in the garage as the clearance is the lowest point, not necessarily where the cement ceiling is at.

Mine measured out at 78.25" exactly with a laser level. Work parking lot clearance bar at exactly 80" with same laser level... roof of truck clears, but the very top of the OEM antennae taps the 80" bar on the way in. Stubby antennae now - no tap.

Definitely go with the stubby antenna. Wacking the antenna against the roof of the parking garage is very annoying, will damage the antenna, making you nervous, and looks ridiculous. I speak from experience. Stubby antenna is a must.

I have to frequent garages, including some low clearance ones; The factory antenna is great at letting me know if clearance may be “a thing”. I’ve gone into 6’8” listed garages and I’m 4 for 5. The 5th one was signed 6’8, and it was on the lower level but as I started to climb the ramp there was a concrete beam enclosure that was perilously close to roof impact, so I had to back out. Or... Starbucks Drive Thru rules; 4 low and punch it. I backed out.

Okay, sorry, I must have not had my coffee yet, the garage is 6' 6", not 66"....sorry, and thanks to all for correcting me. I did see a Gen 1 in the garage one day in Nashville, but he might have known exactly where to park. Thanks for the replies!

I suppose it would be ideal to use an antenna that's about 2-3 inches (or whatever feels safe enough to you) above the roof. Or perhaps have a mark on the antenna at the acceptable height. Does such an antenna exist?

Would also be cool if there was some sort of roof radar collision warning system. Something that could be adjusted to accommodate those who have after market whatever's on the roof.
