Good day all, what is about the life span of a Raptor Gen 2? Got a 2020 LF (build date 11/19) that had $18,900 bought it used March 2021 and now sitting at 25,300. I still need to look at extended warranty options, but was that high mile truck? I don't drive as far or as much as I'm sure the previous owner did. Should I be worried about anything?

Thank you and probably just be over cautions.

hello!

take a look at the following threads that may be of interest to your concerns:

for reference, I put around 40,000 miles on a brand new 2020 truck in a year.

Take care of it, it will take care of you! Maintenance is everything, from a lawn mower to a Raptor. Do what's needed / expected, and the truck will last a long time.

I put 27k miles on my 2018 the first year of ownership, mostly work related and quite a bit off-road in NWPA & UPNY. Other than the cam phasers eventually crapping out last year, it’s been trouble-free.

That's not high mileage, take a zanax!! Like others have said, proper maintenance, do 5000 mile oil changes, change your air filter before it's plugged up, change the rest of the fluids as per the book or sooner if you tow or beat on it bad. If something minor breaks, fix it asap so things don't pile up, this makes you feel better about your vehicle as well. Good luck.

I know it’s obvious typos but if you paid $19k for a gen II then well you’ve got **** to worry about. If you have like 25k miles, you need to realize this is a frod truck, not a Ferrari. Everything will be mostly ok if you change the oil, replace tires, and fix **** when the check engine light comes on.

Context?
is this your only or primary vehicle? or your weekend off road toy? somewhere in-between?

If you’re going to mod the cr@p out of the truck, the ESP doesn’t make financial sense. OTOH, if it’s your primary, which you press into service off road sometimes, maybe it does.

The Rap is plenty capable stock.

Usually, people are fine without the ESP but if you’re “that guy” or you really need this in primary service to get you to and fro - then think about spending the $$$ on the ESP.

@smurfslayer Its my daily driver all stock, ill think on the ESP I've never had it on any of my other vehicles.

@CoronaRaptor I know over worrying a tad just looking for peace of mind/guidance and didn't want to miss anything. And I'll take care of it with all maintenance. I love this truck

Get yourself a can of MAF sensor cleaner and clean your maf sensors every year or air filter change, there's a couple fun youtube videos on cleaning them and where they are located on your truck. A big item, "don't shift on the fly into 4A or 4H", let off the gas completely and wait a second or two for the transfer case to fully engage and the iwe's, this will last you a lifetime hopefully. I've always done this with mine and still on the oem's after 150k plus miles.
