Gen 2 Grill Removal?

I've searched here and across the Internet for a good video on how to disassemble the Gen 2 grill from the grill surround. I found a good vid for removing both, but no one covers the separation of the surround from the grill itself. Maybe it's simple, but I like to know what I'm getting into as much as possible to ensure success on the first attempt.

MY grill needs refinished. I'm the second owner and the first apparently experience an issue that caused damage tot he finish on the grill. Structurally it's all good, but I need the grill separated from the surround so I can repaint it.

i did a write up years ago on putting an s8 behind the grille ; Gen 2 lighting forum. IIRC, there’s pictures ( so it did happen ).
