My question is..... why? Do you feel the 3.0 are that much better? Are you looking for more time between rebuilds? I Can't say personally if the truck will ride better or worse.... IDK  when I was thinking about going with the gen2 it was for time between rebuilds. The rebuilds are so easy in the 2.5 compared to the 3.0. I personally am glad I didn't go that way. JMO but if you can run a lathe. you can rebuild a 2.5 . LOL but I would ask your self why. What benefit are you looking to gain???
