front camera mod

I have a gen1. I am wanting to mod my front camera. would like to know if its possible to make it so that the front camera comes on with one of the aux switches, completely bypassing the 4X4 requirment. this would make pullin in nose to nose with small cars so much easier.

I do recall several years ago someone showed how to bypass the camera and posted about it, try the Gen 1 search feature. I’m sure it’s on here somewhere

I think it had something to do with NavTV

yep. the nav-tv module allows you to bypass the front camera and make it work all the ime. we did several group buys many years ago.

I would be very interested in doing this to my '11 as well
