Ok folks let's be honest here---Ford uses low quality stuff and that is a fact period end of discussion. I have had many cars (none US) that had good leather and the difference is night and day! The best way to keep the leather servicable is to keep it clean!!!!!! Cannot stress this enough and that means keeping the pores of the leather open!!The human body has oils that are not good for leather and the stuff Ford uses will deteririate rapidly and then crack and break open not to mention wear. The only way around this is to have some good covers made for the seats. Expensive yes but they will last.Just got my wife a new TTS Audi and it make the leather in the Raptor or my Shelby seem like some type of plastic or vinyl. The best leather seats I have ever had come on the AMG cars by MB but they are a little more expensive lol.
