forscan question

so I loaded forscan up on my chicks microsoft laptop and was easy enough to get working.
problem was even running a program on the macbook something just wasn't working right.


my question is why are all the modules in plain english?

when I click on bcm, ipc etc

I don't get the ***-xx-xx type of number. just some text. then I click on that and it says enable or disable.

was easy enough to find most options.

But I want the front grill led's on with driving lights. what selection is that?

At least I was able to turn off the double horn honk. that sucked ass.

I could also not find the doo doo doo option in IPC
there are a few options that talk about chimes. no idea which it is.


Anyone know?

Follow this video step by step. The more 'advanced' version of programming through Forscan is found in the 'As-built' format. If you click just the module configuration you'll get the 'Plain English' programming.

didn't bother to make backups

changed a few things. pretty easy once I just used my chicks microsoft computer.

The obd2 does not always detect. it's a bit finicky, but worth the pain in the ass since i'll never have to do it again.

love the no double honk and parking lights as driving lights instead of low beams

i'm going to go with chick or hey woman. it's more easily remembered in case I want to trade her in. Much like my vehicles, they bore me after a while.

Not natively...

you have to use something like boot camp or crossover to have forscan emulate properly
