That's what held me up from messing with the Auto Start/Stop in Forscan. Just unplug the bottom two wire plug from the white module just under the drivers side dash, on the left hand side.

Here is a YT link: Start at the 1:00 minute mark.

this is super simple, but I would likely forget to plug it in when towing. I’ll try the forescan mod and see if that works. Thx for the response.

That option doesn’t exist with FORScan. NAV-TV sells an adapter for about 400 bucks that allows this.

Can dig up the part # if you want to go that route. I’m not sure if I would use it enough to spend the money on it.

Thanks, I would only want it if it can be turned on via Forscan. I am aware but have heard mixed reviews over the years about it.

Interestingly enough there is a simple mod to remove a wire that allows you to light up the rear spots on the side mirrors at any speed.

I would have to think there could possibly be a simple mod to do the same for the cameras. Maybe not or who wants to be a guinea pig and screw this up by trying.

Maybe some day.

I have looked around and can't find if you can use Forscan to allow front and rear cameras to be used at any speed?
I installed the Naviks system on my truck. Allows the cameras to work any speed. I don't use it a lot, but I do when towing or off roading.

I also got the phone mirror option, that I use all the time.

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

What does the Phone mirror option do?

FYI: I've changed my recommended adapter on my tutorial for anyone getting started with FORScan to the OBDLink EX USB adapter here for $40: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081VQVD3F

This adapter has a built-in switch, is capable of firmware flashing, and 9x faster than a regular USB Adapter like the OHP/VINT with toggle switch. I just had a conversation with the FORScan developer about it and this is the real deal and almost as fast as a J2534 adapter so it's a lot of bang for the buck and there is collaboration with OBDLink & FORScan on maximum compatibility. I've been testing this adapter out for the last few weeks and it doesn't disappoint!
