I just picked up my truck this past Saturday. When I picked it up, I was all set to install a Bak Flip Cover on it. My family surprised me by going to the dealer and buying the Ford Accessory Cover for the bed. The cover is high quality material and fits the truck nicely. However, I have a question. The piece that goes along the top of the tailgate, does not seem to be flat enough to keep any water out. There is a small area that does not seem to close tightly against the tailgate itself. There is also a sharp piece of metal or material under the last small piece of rubber that is in the same place. Any one else have this issue? Or this just a defective piece? Or, will time with heat and expansion/contraction smooth this out? One more thing. Anyone experience any type of intrusion to the plastic bedrails from where the clamps of there covers tighten down? Any help would be appreciated. I figure for the cost of this thing, it should have been a better fit.
