Thought I would update the thread. A year later, wow! Didn´t seem like that long. I noticed the date when I had to locate the reciept the other day. I just got home from a month long business trip and took the truck to get detailed. Upon returning for the truck, I was surprised to see that the cover had cracked from the right front corner back. The crack then spread out and travelled across the cover. My first thought was that someone had stood on the cover while they were washing it. After I thought about it for a while, I realized that someone standing on the cover once would not damage it like this. A call to the selling Ford dealer provided me with no joy whatsoever. Lets just say, I will never buy as much as a sparkplug from Ford of Veracruz. So, I googled ¨Penda¨ and found out that they offer a lifetime warranty on their products.:love51: I e-mailed them explaining the situation, totally expecting to get blown off because of my location (Mexico) and where I purchased the product. To my surprise, the Lady immeadiatly mailed me back requesting some photos. So, I e-mailed her a few photos offered to scan and send the receipt if she wanted. I soon got back and e-mail stating that she had shown the photos to their engineers and they all agreed that it was a manufacturing defect.:big_banana_Dance: The Penda Rep. then told me that their agreement to supply these covers for Ford had expired last July. In reading this, I am still waiting to read ¨sorry sir, theres nothing we can do¨ Imagine my surprise when I kept on reading... The e-mail went on to say that Penda has a plant in Mexico. (it´s about 3 hours from where I live) and, even though my cover was not produced at their Mexico plant, and the agreement had expired, they were willing to replace the cover with a better model. At no cost! They asked if I would be willinng to drive over to the plant to pick the new cover up.:favorites25: But heres the amazing part: They are shipping the replacement cover all the way from Wisconson to Mexico on one of their intercompany shipping runs! Pretty cool! I don´t need to pay duty. My new cover should be here in 4 to 6 weeks! Penda just got a customer for life!:big_banana_Dance: PS: I still think it was an awesome cover. (With the exception of the defect, of course)
