a week after i brought my raptor home we had a hail storm at work. There was nothing i could do about it. some golf ball sized, i havent noticed any damage since.

Does that mean you noticed damage then, but no more, or that you never noticed any from it at all?

Havent noticed any damage at all. Only damage on my truck is some tree rash and a couple rock chips in the hood. and a slightly tweaked rear bumper from a log

Well thats good to hear that the trucks that have been out haven't seen much to any damage, a little piece of mind for me.

My beast goes in the garage. If I am out of town I watch the weather and try and make it to a car wash, bank or other over hang. Heard people say park under tree however that don't sound like a good ideal.

Do a search for the "hail protector", yes it does look ridiculous :supergay:

But I don't give a crap about what anyone thinks. I am seriously thinking about getting a cover like that one, it looks really interesting. For $300-$500 on a 56k truck is well worth it.

fold in the mirror's and let the air out of your tires. Or get a tarp shed or jack up your garage put in a bigger door. You did say how close to fitting you where.

i parked outside for 3 years. Never a problem. The hood is fiberglass or something so it doesnt dent. The roof and windshield are the only problems. And there is insurance for that.

If the hail is large enough it will go straight through. We just had a nice storm here Friday with baseball sized hail. We even have a few holes in our roof on our house. A baseball sized piece of ice at terminal velocity causes a lot of damage. But I love hail. Hail = money for me. We replaced 5 windshields on Saturday morning and this morning had people lined up at the door at 7:45.
