Just watching Doug DeMuro and the Subaru STI 22b and it has a water sprayer for the intercooler. I was wondering if it would help the raptor? Could possibly use the front camera sprayer to spray it down with chilled deionized water. Just a thought this morning. What do you guys think? Could be monitored via the access port to see if it actually lowers intake temps. Also might be helpful to those doing extreme towing and the temps start to climb...

Interesting idea. Great review video of the 22B

Assuming use of the stock IC and fans - wonder if they would get buggered up or remove them completely?

i've seen some guys do this (not on raptor, but other cars with air to air IC) mix 50% distilled water with 50% pure alcohol mist, will cool it quite a bit.

Installed a snow performance **** kit and I am spraying 100% ****. Cools my charge temp by 20 degrees in 90+ degree weather with 50%+ humidity.

strictly for cooling effect. Currently on e50 tune.

The stock fans has a sensor when they feel any water goes threw them the pcm will close the shutters.

Turn the truck on, they will open, spray it with your garden hose they will close, in order to do that you need to run the line behind the shutters, the front camera water nozzle is connected to your windshield wiper, and if you want to remove it you need to take the front grill off OR disconnect it from the hood latch area and run it down in front of the IC.

To save your self from the hassel, go to Amazon, 12V water pumps are like 20-30$, get one and attach a nozzle at the end, run power to your switch and that's it.

I used to have a 2006 STi and if I remember correctly it had a water spray from the factory. I could see some benefits of quickly lowering charge temps via the IC.

If you could spray enough water on the cooler it would surely lower temps. Use the alky mix and the cooling effect would be much greater as mentioned.

With a little work, a system to do this shouldn’t be hard with off the shelf parts. Might need a 2-3 gallon tank to make constant refilling a chore.

It definitely hot enough right now for testing. 114 right now and supposed to hit 117 today in Palm Desert. Too bad my truck is in the body shop getting a door ding repaired. Who’s going to be the guinea pig?
