Advice taken. Time for a floor jack

First time I rotated mine I had the same problem with my (personal) floor jack. I pumped that baby up all the way and the front wheel just laughed at me. I like to get all 4 off at the same time so I can wash and rotate. (It's amazing the mud/gunk/tar on the inside) This led me to by bigger longer jack stands for the front. The guy at the parts store was like, "Are you jacking a 5 ton or something?" I pointed out the window and stated "It's the wheel travel, not the weight I needed to overcome". Still have the block of wood on the floor jack though.

That is pretty funny

Get the HF 2 ton steel jack. It's heavy but lifts to 24", has a nice t-handle, pedal and quick release knob. Nicest floor jack I've ever owned. Also pick up some HF 6 ton stands (for the height)

Thanks for the tip, if my block of wood or floor jack ever give me any trouble, I'll go that route. Come to think of it, the neighbor down the street has a cool lift in his garage, I'm thinking we need to become friends, but then again he's a GM guy so there's that. :p

I remembered I actually have a photo of when I first tried. See that tire laughing?

Hmm, looks like that didn't work. Man I hate all this fancy techno stuff
