Can this be done? My local dealer has a few 2020 models available, but I would want a bigger tank if I buy it. The parts are not that expensive, but can a bigger tank be installed into the shorter 2020 Raptor?

I'm no expert, but I think with the shorter distance from under the cab to the rear differential, it wont fit.

Thanks, I watched a youtube video by someone who did the tank swap, but their truck was the full 4 door. You may be right. I wonder if the supercab regular F150 offered a big tank option. Ford definitely does not offer it as a factory option on the Raptor. Too bad.

I think the truck is too short due to the cab size/bed size. The regular f150 SCAB comes with a 6.5' bed

Yes, the tank size is is one of the big decisions when looking at the SCAB vs SCREW for the Raptor. I am pretty sure they stopped making the Raptor SCAB, so 2020 might be the last year to find one. As others have said, I doubt it will fit or Ford would have made it a standard option. ;)

I have a 2019 SCAB and have had only one instance when the tank was too small and that time I did not start with a full tank. I do carry extra fuel. Off Roading with a Gen 1 SCREW, the better mileage of my Gen 2 more than makes up for the smaller tank. After 250 miles of overlanding we both had 10 gals, but he started with 36 gal. to my 26 gal.

Buy the SCAB, makes a much better daily driver.

From the video I saw, the difference between the 26 and 36 gallon tank seems to be its depth (height) and not its length, but the SCREW has a longer wheelbase.

I looked up the part numbers and noticed that there are only 2 tanks listed for a 2020 Raptor on the OEM Ford parts site:

What looks to be the big tank:

https://www.oemford.parts/oem-parts...1MCZ5PTIwMjAmdD1yYXB0b3ImZT0zLTVsLXY2LWdhcw==

Noted is the comment: F150. Without 3.0l diesel. With 122, 133 wheelbase

And another tank described as 'without extended range':

https://www.oemford.parts/oem-parts...1MCZ5PTIwMjAmdD1yYXB0b3ImZT0zLTVsLXY2LWdhcw==

The description states: F150. Without 3.0l diesel. Without 122, 133 wheelbase. Without extended range.

The wheelbase on a 2020 SCAB is 134 inches, thus might the first (bigger) tank fit?

Maybe the parts description on the website mixed up the range descriptions.

The aftermarket tank idea is a good one.
