This is true.  The difference is the aftermarket skid plate is not as wide (thats a good thing, IMO) and you don't have to go through an access panel to get to the oil filter like you do with the stock skid plate.  The ADD skid plate is oriented such that access to the oil filter is direct. 


I can change the oil in my Rap very quickly and easily.  I've been using Royal Purple full synthetic with Bosch oil filters.
