Spent some time yesterday "skinning" the Raptor (didn't want the graphics, didn't pay for the graphics... kept the hood graphic but removed everything else) and gave her a bath and two coats of wax. Looks so much better to me without the decals.


Went out this evening and took some pictures...

Agree, graphics just dont work on black. Looks great man. :peace:

Thanks, guys. Stripping the graphics off was the gateway to mods. I've already ordered a Craven stubby antenna as I'm tired of dragging the stocker across the garage door at home and the garage ceiling trusses at work. Next up is the Line-X treatment for the bed. Can't believe they don't come stock with some sort of spray-in liner.

After that, probably some tint for the front two door windows and then who knows...

I've got plans based on how I built up my 2010 FJ Trail Teams, but I am going to take a slightly slower, more methodical approach to this one. It'll be interesting to see how it progresses over the next year. One thing for sure is that I don't plan on drastically altering the look of it at all. It's a sexy beast bone stock. :)
