Just finally got my fire extinguisher mounted in the bed of the truck. Install takes a few minutes. The only thing I would say is go with the 1/2" self taping screws since the cab of the bed is so close.
I ended up using a dot approved extinguisher mount, 3/4" self taping screws, locking washers and rtv silicone adhesive.
I know a lot of guys mount them in the cab but being a fireman I think its much easier grabbing it from the bed when its needed.
