I just got my fully loaded 2019 Raptor at the end of June. I have every option available for the 2019. I found out through Forscan that my truck has the fake engine sound. It turns out ALL 2019 Raptors have it in the SYNC 3. It's a sound file that plays at low speeds. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of so I wanted it disabled. If I want the truck to sound different, I'll change the exhaust, not my radio.

When I hit the "go" button in Forscan to disable the feature, I actual saw forscan set the volume for the sound effect to zero. The sound is produced by a file embedded in SYNC 3 and all Forscan does is set the volume for this sound file that runs in the background to zero.

I'm not sure what you're messing with to get "white noise" from the audio system. Mine is whisper quiet. And that's how I like the interior of my truck to be. Quiet. If I want to hear the exhaust noise I'll roll down the windows and drive under a bridge or change out the exhaust system.

I don't know what to tell you. It is well documented here and elsewhere that noise canceling is disabled alongside fake noise, so if it sounds quieter to you it is because you can't hear the white noise to begin with. I have sensitive hearing and have noticed it in several trucks, and others have too.

Love the new body style and tech, but would never go for a Gen 2 just because it’s a V6.

The 6.2L ran the Baja, that’s why it’s the iconoclast and not the 5.4.

Until the 3.5L TTB does something similar I’ll stick with my Gen 1.

Just sayin’ ‍♂️

Until the 3.5L does something similar? Seriously lol!

So the 3.5L ecoboost ran the Baja in 2010, they did it again in 2014 with the 2.7L ecoboost, and then a third time in 2016 with the 3.5L H.O. ecoboost in the Gen 2 raptor. Maybe more but I’m just going by the videos Ford put out through the years. You can find them on YouTube.

BTW ... Here's the coding for FORScan to disable the Fake Engine Noise:

Fake engine noise disable: ACM 727-01-01 xxxx x0xx xxxx
This was enabled on my ‘15 Lariat 3.5EB with tech. I disabled it and didn’t notice much difference. So when I got my ‘18 802A I assumed it would be there and turned on. It wasn’t. I fired up FORSCAN the day I got the truck home to turn that off and do the folding mirrors etc. Turns out it was already ‘disabled’. Others in the forum over on the F-150 site have reported the same thing.

It's all good if you prefer less HP, torque and MPGs.

Thanks for the info! With all of the research I’ve done here, online and YT I’ve never seen or heard much about those runs.

Maybe they weren’t much to write home about? Maybe you just do t see much about them since they already did it, kinda like later moon landing?

Post a link(s) please, I’d love to see them!

Agreed, gen2 already achieved that lol, it was even part of the introduction of the second generation, highlighting the 3.5 EcoBoost having done several full races then taken apart for demonstration. Check your facts

The Gen 2 finished in the time limit, and then drove home

The torture test engine completed the baja 1000

There's more, including videos of each, but I'm in mobile which is annoying to type on
