I can imagine this is an attempt to course correct after pumping out as many units as possible before December 31st (the end of their fiscal year) which resulted in a huge shipping bottlenecks in addition to the compounding supply chain issues with the chip and other commodity shortages.

I think someone else on here posted about the potential for a price increase too and believe that is where we are headed. It used to be that 12% of vehicles sold were sold at msrp, last year that figure was 89%. This could work well for manufacturers that just want to gain market share while Ford and GM scale back to get their ATP up. Only time will tell.
