What do I do if I don't have a man step? And the first nut insert is broken off inside and jingles around. I also have linex so that probably won't help...

All you had to do was take the cover off? I don't have a stripper pole either but I'm waiting for my ball stud to come in before I can install the Ezdown

Ya just use a torx wrench i think its like a t20 or close to that and either use a drill or ratchet to attach it to and remove the access panel and it pops right off then follow the rest of pry bars direction. It is really easy to do and trust me do not use the expanding nut they supply it is horses hit. This way is much much sturdier and you can really cinch it down tight. PM me if you run into any issues

DeeZee tailgate assist issue

I opened my tailgate today and noticed my paint is scratched off. Pissed, I look down and see the DeeZee came out. I really like it but how do I make this not happen again? I cleaned the threads real good from the previous blue stuff (assume loctite) and applied a good layer and screwed it back in for now.
