Engine misfire fault code....Cobb stage 2

hi all,

Any ideas what this might be about? I was thinking maybe ****** SoCal 91 gas?

Anyways.... was making a spirited run in Mexico somewhere, hit 122mph, engine light started blinking and fuel temporarily cutoff, similar to hitting the speed limiter.

Anyways, i kept off the gas pedal and let it cruise to a stop. Light stopped blinking after a minute or so, and all was well after that.

Checked my ford app and this is the error message i received.

Maybe plugs and gapping?

Try some sp542 plugs gapped at 28 and see if that helps .

What was the EGT running? I had this happen on my diesel once. Run them hot enough and it limits fuel to cut power. Not sure if ours do the same but would think it would be a fail safe to protect the turbo and the manifold.

Hard to say exactly without seeing a bit of data. Did you happen to be logging with the Accessport when this occurred? New plugs may help if your truck has higher mileage or harder miles on the factory plugs.

I wasn’t data logging at the time u fortunately. Truck only has 12k miles. I don’t really drive it that hard and haven’t towed with it yet. Will be towing the boat 4 hours each way in August.
