They are is my point. HD, SD whatever, all gen 2 raptor deaver springs, AFAIK, are all 12 leaves.

Are you referring to a stock truck? If not, wouldn't that depend on the setup in your truck? Weather you have a bed cage or not? 16" or 18" bypass shocks? Is the bed cage setup at with a 1 to 1 ratio or not? This would be the shop installing it MUST CYCLE the suspension for true travel numbers.

The suspension droop isn't controlled by the shock length. At least it shouldn't be. If you just swap out your spring pack for Deavers, Icons, etc, you're not required to replace & relocate your shocks to use them, the same as if you swap out your factory coilovers for any "bolt on" units.

Wheel travel is 100% controlled/limited by the factory shock, it is the "limit strap"

My truck has Deavers sprung under and has 9 leaf springs. Very plush ride the way HM built the cage and cycled it 1 to 1.
