Spent last night and most of today installing a set of Gen 3 LVs (35pk)+ e-click on my 2018. It’s been done before but I figured I’d take some measurements so that anyone looking into it knows what they’re gaining or losing.

Measurements taken@
Quarter tank
All tires (35s) set to 40 PSI (yes, I get 19mpg)
All measurements +/- .125

Originally I wanted to get the shocks revalved by SDI but unfortunately they do not offer a Gen3 to Gen2 revalve. Did a bit of research and looks like the Gen 3 shocks have 1.67 times greater damping vs the 2020 models. Figured that would make up for the lack of revalve. Also, shout out to @OffroadAlliance.com for the sweet deal on the e-click system.

Managed to fit the truck in the garage so, I didn’t want to wait for clear skies.

Something to keep in mind, no cool stickers on the driver rear due to the difference in suspension between models.IMG_1667.jpeg

One man show, Buck fifty, a ratchet strap, extra jack and they’re in.

Height differences. Note that the gen3 measurements were done without waiting for the suspension to settle. I will remeasure in a couple of days.

Hoping to get access to a lift so I can get some travel numbers. Based off the shock measurements I might have lost .5-1 inch of up travel, we’ll see.

E-click wasn’t too hard to install. Hardest part had to be cutting the rubber grommet on the firewall. Overall the truck feels amazing, still dialing in my settings but the difference between the worn blue Fox shocks and these are night and day.
