6.2 Drone?

I'm looking to cut the cats & resonator off & run new exhaust all the way back with the mbrp muffler most likely with a turndown after the rear axle. Any idea on if this will drone? I'm looking for the most free flowing setup possible. I plan on doing headers & a procharger after 10,000 miles. Thanks.

You are eliminating the Cats, Resonator, and are going to turn down under the truck... I'd say you are going to have some resonance for sure.

I figured that. I'm trying to see if theres a setup that can be cat-less & drone-less. I'm open to any ideas. I'm considering turndowns or doing a single tip coming out each side of the rear. I like symmetry.

In my experience having the exhaust come out from under the truck will help a lot. You are still getting a pretty loud setup though.

I at least want to remove the cats. Is the stock resonator restrictive at all?

Stock resonator is not restrictive at all strait through.

The MBRP has its own resonator. I believe the guy from MBRP said they cant guarantee no resonance with that system.
