Drivers side rear view mirror

So some ******* hit my truck and the side view mirror got slammed forward and broke the plastic housing that is on the part that mounts to the truck. Everything on the mirror still works. Does anyone know if the mirror comes completely apart. Like can it be split into 2 piece and that plastic housing be replaced. I don't really want to have to buy a whole side view mirror assembly unless I have to.

I don't believe that you can buy the parts separate. However, the mirror is the same one you would find on any 2009 - 14 F-150 so you could get one cheap at the junk yard or eBay.

2011 -14 have the convex portion.

Yeah but our mirrors on the truck are auto stow, auto dim and heated.
