Deaver/eibach combo ?

Finally got around to getting the recalibration done yesterday. Only drove it a few miles afterward so can’t really comment on the change in behavior, but it appears to be a small change.

I took mine to a dealership, charged me $144. I was an idiot and didn’t bring my laptop with me to pick it up. Got home, checked the values in Forscan, they were unchanged... Drove back up there, and showed the shop manager the values I was looking to have changed with the recalibration, he was a bit puzzled at first. They took it back to the shop again, and 5 minutes later it was done, and I confirmed in Forscan. They were like, “you taught us something new today! We hadn’t had to run that service procedure before.”

For those on the south side of Houston, talk to Dan in the service department at Mac Haik Pasadena, he knows what to do now, and a really easy guy to work with. Probably be best service advisor I have ever worked with (granted I have only worked with probably 4 before him).

You may be able to negotiate on the price, the reason they charged me $144 is they were not sure how long it was going to take.

Click on the read PID data tab on the left, then on the bottom of the screen, select VDM. you may need to select which values to show, then select start live data at the bottom left.

here is an old screenshot, the values circled in red should read zero (or close to it):

So it's only the front that needs to be reset or the rears also if you do Icons or Deaver springs

The live mode is pretty cool. If you kept your laptop plugged in with Forscan running and drove, you could monitor the trucks height on each wheel. Based on the sensor reading. The Oscilloscope graphs it as well.

Interesting. I have never looked at this before. When I do this, Mine shows heights of -18mm and -16mm for the front L & R (3mm for the rears). I have stock suspension. All I've done is change wheels, and tow a few times this summer.

That would make sense, I would imagine that is just part of the settling from when the truck was new.

Are dealers the only ones that can calibrate ride height or can aftermarket installers do it? I know my Jeep installer was able to do all calibrations for me vs having to go to the dealer.

aftermarket can do it too, but they have to have Ford IDS with VMM2 or 3 I believe.

General programmers do not have the service procedure.

Yes true. A local 4x4 shop did mine. He is well experienced with Raptors though.
