Ford would have plenty of chips had they not canceled their orders. Say what you like about Elon, but he has balls.

Toyota didn't have an issue until the past couple of months, now they've run out of chips and are in the same boat with most of the manufacturers. I saw that the new Tundra has 66 going to the greater Los Angeles area for the entire month. People wanting the TRD package are being told it will be 14-18 months.

Not so fast..........When discussing Tesla’s performance this quarter, Musk said that Tesla’s current biggest challenge is the supply chain issue, especially “microcontroller chips.”

Elon is successful because he takes risk no one else does. He ordered way more chips because he overstates projections, and he does everything he can to meet them. That also means he makes bigger F-ups along the way, and those cost big $ from time to time, and also require answering to shareholders, but so far the rewards (and pure insanely inflated stock price) has protected him. That's not going to last forever!

They probably said the same about Henry Ford back in the day...
