Yea it's hard to know what happens and who's touching it behind the shop doors. Part of the issue with these transmissions is how cold natured they are and hard to get up to temp. If the level is checked at too low a temp, then it'll be way too high at operating temp. Shops rush jobs unfortunately and this is one that shouldn't be.
