I can't seem to find a dealer willing to do warranty work. Left messages with 3 different dealers over the past 7 days about getting warranty work done and no one will call back. Are dealers really that backed up or they just don't want to honor warranties anymore?

Warranty work pays the least. Probably just a coincidence.

I figured as much. Well my 5 year powertrain warranty is up at the end of the month. I guess I'll just pay out of pocket for the repairs. Glad I didn't waste money on an extended warranty. I see you're in Colorado as well. Do avoid the Phil Long dealerships in Colorado Springs.

Which are the only Ford dealerships in Colorado Springs .... Are the ones in Denver as bad? At least there is competition up there.

If you are in warranty, I'd make the extra effort. These things are not cheap to fix, and the dealers are standing in line to bend you over. If I was paying out of pocket , I would find a decent independent shop. Kinda depends on the malfunction.

I just tried contacting Castle Rock Ford this afternoon, so I'm waiting to hear back from them. I just discovered the problem on 6/9. I think i have a cracked cylinder head cover on the drivers side.

Phil Long is a bunch of thieves, but I had to get some work done on my previous F150 at the motor city location and I eventually got satisfactory service for a satisfactory price. I have my cam phasers scheduled to get done at the Chapel hills location in July as well.

It may not be cracked, I replaced mine several weeks ago and discovered the gasket on the old cover was pushed away. It's not an expensive repair either way. If your somewhat mechanical you can do it yourself..

My SA at Motor City told me my backup camera was in stock when I dropped it off for the recall. Late afternoon, oops, sorry, not in stock. That was a much better experience than I had at Chapel Hills. That SA seemed to view lying as entertainment and I got lots of extra unnecessary ones for free. The necessary ones were those that allowed the SA to avoid doing any actual work. I get free oil changes from Ford and I do them myself. I feel cleaner when I’m done than I do walking out of Phil Long. Hit me with a pm if you want the name of the guy to avoid at Chapel Hills. He’s worth avoiding.

Problem is Denver has shit for ford dealers. Phil long are thieves, will take advantage if given the chance. Larry Miller is better but they have horrible organization and scheduling. Shit show trying to get any service done

Dealers are really backed up. They will always take money.
