I think you dodged a bullet, especially if it didn’t throw any codes at you. Likely, your filter protected your engine.

I once left my oil cap off after an oil change. I warmed up the truck, then drove it around the block. It immediately threw a code and reduced power. It wouldn’t even shift to higher gears. The wrong type of pressure in the system threw it off.
