Just recently looking into this, does anyone have a dash camera aside from a GoPro? I want something with GPS, speed tracking, and HD quality recording.

Thanks, but I just took a look at their website and... that's wayyy out of my budget.

Thinking about $200-300 max

Chasecam has a program for windows called Dashware, I downloaded a trial and tried it out with my ContourGPS, worked awesome. can put custom guages overlaying on the video.

Id post a demo but it doesnt let you output the video with the trial software.

but I like it.

That's pretty cool. How accurate is it? Would you get the GPS+ or just the regular GPS? What's their current competitor?

honestly, i didnt see the point in paying for the contour+
the GPS works fine for me, but compare their features, and see what youd want.
Price was also a factor for me.

as for how accurate it is, the GPS records every .5 seconds

i had the camera pointed at the speedometer, and had a GPS speedometer overlay and it was dead on, but depends on the GPS signal strength as well.

Haven't found any negatives yet, but haven't used it much either.

Mainly got it for sledding, but I'll use it on the ranger as well.

And yup, forgot to mention its Bluetooth!

Oh another thing with the contour is the rotating lens. You can lay it on either side, and rotate the lens so the picture still shoots right. Pretty nifty.
