I'm definitely going DMH for a cutout soon but I have heard that cutouts hurt performance. Can someone tell me if this is true

I have a cut-out & it definitely is slower with the dump open compared then closed. But man is having yhe cut-out open badass!!!

Mine rattles so bad i'm thinking about getting rid of it. If anyone is throwing away their stock exhaust 2 bolt flange just after the Y-pipe let me know!
