Custom flat tow setup for Raptor

Probably around $550. Thats what roadmaster sells theirs for, and im sure getting everything cut will cost a bunch for these:

Pucks (3/4" steel)
Ascetic changes to make it more "pretty".
Our own front plate (This one uses on i bought and bolted to the tube).
Changing holes to slots to allow for slight differences between trucks.
Safety cable's included. These will need to be rated for the trucks weight.
Insurance from our insurance company (Since this is a product that could cause injury or death to others if it was to break)

I really like where you are going with this- Just a thought- when you are in final design/ testing add an option for a cooler rack . or even a portable winch mount?

Looks like you have a good solution. Honestly, though, if I was going to do it again, and I was starting with a factory truck with OEM bumper, I would have just purchased an aftermarket bumper with the tow points built in and reinforced for towing. Since the truck already had a fab fours bumper, I went with the blue ox setup. I didn't even have to take my bumper off to install it.

what you should look into making is a tow hook for the blue ox receiver with the tow tabs go. So design something with the same setup but with a tow hook/d ring on the end instead.

kpecs, yes....doing an aftermarket bumper with the 3/4" steel D ring points makes it simple. But for those of us that do not have a bumper like that my solution seems to be the best way to do it that i can see.

I was thinking the same thing, however a winch will place a lot of vertical forces on the points, im not sure if the strength will be there with my setup. Also, there is the issue of blocking cooling, although from what ive seen people that do this in various ways, it isnt an issue. I will test with my winch soon!

basically take the back half of the tab in the picture I sent you and have a tow how instead of the prongs to mount the tow bars. the back half inserts into the blue ox baseplate and locks in place.
