Picked up the Corsa cat-back from Chris at Freedom. Easy install, looks nice and sounds pretty good. Subtle at low RPMs and definitely a big improvement (sound wise) under load and on the throttle. Overall, Im pretty happy with it.

Now for the dumb question, the stock exhaust has dual pipes coming out of the muffler, the Corsa only has one and then splits into dual tips. I realize any performance gains from a cat-back are negligible but doesnt it seem like the Corsa should maintain the dual pipes like the stock exhaust? I have a buddy with a regular F-150 and his exhaust went from stock and a single pipe out of the muffler to dual pipes with his aftermarket kit.

Im confused by this.

Anyone have an opinion?

You have a single 3" pipe going into the muffler. All you need is a single 3" pipe going out or equivalent to move the exhaust gasses. They probably did that to tune the sound a bit differently, but you're going to flow a lot better than stock no matter what. Like you said, the performance gains are nonexistent or negligible so if you're happy with the kit otherwise, you're good buddy.

As bird said U are only gonna flow as much as the ypipe allows. Before the muffler is a single 3" so after the muffler having a single 3" won't hurt.

And Like wilson said if u are running headers with an x pipe like us it would be a different story

I like the single pipe on the Corsa. At full droop my National springs were hitting one of the stock pipes. With the single pipe on the Corsa my springs no longer make contact with the pipe.
