Ya know, I gotta say, if Chrysler had dropped a Cummins in the new Ram 1500... I'm not sure I'd be a Raptor owner.

Hmmm...

Not sure how to respond to that because I'm sure you know the new Ram 1500 with a Cummins would be a powerful Dodge pickup truck. Which would not be confused with a Ford Raptor. Even if the Dodge with a Cummins would be a kick-ass pickup it still would be a pickup truck first and an off-roader 2nd. Maybe that's your point; you'd be a pickup truck owner (and a happy one because you wouldn't know what you'd be missing).

PS: Why is Chrysler misspelled in this thread? Just curious.

Eh....

The engine would be the only good thing about that truck.

LOL 'King. The 1500 is a fine pickup. Very strong very well built and very well regarded. But the styling certainly is not for everybody.

Dan... when I was looking originally (12-24mo ago?) the "new" Ram 1500 was my leading choice. Back then, the Cummins wasn't a matter of if, it was a matter of when. So I decided to buy used and bide my time and wait for the Cummins that never came.

Then, of course, I caught wind of the Raptor. Haven't looked back since :)

PS: Not sure why its misspelled. The Bot just grabs what it sees and reposts it. Whoever created the article in the first place made the mistake.
