It’s basically the same as the chalk. Temperature will be a function of scrubbing friction. When your shoulder is the same as the center, it’s scrubbing evenly across the tread, which reflects in the tire wear. You just have to check quickly as soon as you stop as surface temps will come down pretty quickly if it’s cold or wet out. It’s especially helpful if you have a commute or something since the chalk would probably be gone after 30-40 min
