Ceramic Window Tint

Hi everyone!
I have a 2020 and thinking of adding ceramic tint. The rear windows came tinted from Ford. Wondering what percentage I should go to totally black it out over the stock tint and what brands do you recommend? Thanks!

I just had my 2020 tinted 20% all around, on the rears they did the 20% over the factory and it's plenty dark for me but also the darkest tint I've had.

Ceramic tint is among the best in terms of quality. If you want it "blacked out" then 5% will do the trick. However, If you enjoy seeing through rear windows at night this will not be favorable. 20% is the most common and is used to match the factory rear tint. Also, if you decide to just do the 20% it will save you some coin as you only need to do driver and passenger front windows which will cost roughly $100 for ceramic. Double the price for 5% all the way around.

5% will be almost impossible to see you during the day and 20% will allow someone to see your silhouette in the day but look black at night.

I got an Inspector 2 Tint Meter and hit the windows just the other day on mine, here's what they measure:

Windshield: 77
Front Doors: 79
Rear Doors: 25
Back Glass: 27
Sunroof: 15

I did 20% ceramic over the factory tint on the rears and 33% on the driver/pass front. I also did 80% ceramic on the roof panels for the Texas heat. My truck is dark enough during the day and you cannot see what is in the back area from the outside. You can see through the 33% when looking at certain angles, but it is fine driving at night. As others have said, going with 5% will probably work during the day, but you will not be able to see behind you at night. (I had this on a previous truck in my younger days)

Also, if you skip the rears and moon roof, you will not get the full benefit of the ceramic during the hot summer months. The cost to do them is not that much more in the grand scheme when you consider the truck is north of $65K for most of us.

I did a very similar setup on mine and love it.......and adding the visor/eyebrow across the windshield and on the moonroof made the biggest difference! I too have to battle the Texas heat!

I went with 20% on the driver and passenger windows and left the rest as is. Looks good without visibility issues.
