Have about 10k on the truck and was thinking about running it through! I’m sure it can’t hurt to run an additive, right? Just wanted to know if anyone used it or liked it or not being that it’s 25.00 a bottle !

I've never run it, nor have I ever heard of it. Do you have any symptoms that'd lead you to believe that your catalytic converter is gummed up, or that you have crazy carbon buildup? 10k miles makes the truck pretty much new, and do you feel like risking your entire fuel system and injectors to run something that almost assuredly won't work, for a problem that almost assuredly doesn't exist?

It sounds like you're looking for an excuse to run it, so I'll leave you with some knowledge from Click (or Clack, i don't know which one's which):

"I also know, in general, that over the years, many people have gotten rich selling unnecessary potions, additives and elixirs to the gullible auto-owning public. My wife reminds me of that every time I splash some MiracleGro on my ever-widening scalp."- Tom Magliozzi

You're adding an unknown substance to your gas tank which travels through the pump, fuel lines, gets atomized by the injectors, sprayed into the cylinder and ignited. What makes you think it can't hurt anything? Most people who want to put an additive in their tanks have at least some reasoning behind it, even if it's not well understood. This just seems exceptionally random.

I have never seen a "gummed up/clogged" cat that could be cleaned. They are melted. A fuel additive is not going to do anything in that department. Your emissions warranty will take care of any emissions related issues.

I appreciate all the responses from the scientists and engine experts that live on the forum!!! The simple question was “has anyone used it and is it any good” ? It says it’s good for cleaning fuel injectors, cylinder heads and o2 sensors!! It’s called cataclean (I didn’t name it) it says nothing about cleaning a catalytic converter !! Everyone complains that the Ecoboost has a problem with carbon build up on the valves!! I figured I’d ask if an additive would help in preventing it and asking if anyone used a particular additive!!! I should’ve known better!!
