Do you guys run the rear differential locked or open when sliding around in the winter?

I personal leave it open, its slippery enough that both wheels are spinning like crazy. If I was crawling up hill I might be inclined to lock the diff when in 4hi.

That's what I figured; I was told never to go sideways in an open diff. but I guess that advice is more for pavement. Cheers
