Cam Phaser/Engine Failure Reports

Took mine into the dealer Tuesday for diagnosis, they gave it back to me Wednesday to drive while they waited to get it in for repairs. They're telling me they ordered the phasers, solenoids, cams, chains, and tensioners.
Its a 2018 (late 2017 built) with 28k miles.

That was me about a month ago but 2nd time and 40k miles. When you take it in for the repair, pray there are no complications after.

Same here. Scheduled drop off about 2 weeks later right before I went on vacation. Still waiting...

Crash spoke yesterday to service dept about mine part was on back order. So today I called cutomer care ford and they said ask the parts dept to try and get parts from another dealership. So I asked my parts guy what the process was and they do pull parts from some national warehouse that's why they are on backorder. So I requested him to research around and he found that these parts needed were just coming out of back order. Some dealerships already had them. He found mine and are overnighting it for tomorrow. So ive lucked out also need truck for family vacation starting this 13th so that may have helped. Ask your parts guy to expidite the backorder stuff.

hello have not been to forum in a long time; developed a rattle but thought it was the waste gate issue; had a surf trip this past weekend and another Gen2 was there. Mine definitely rattle. will try to video it and post here soon; have to go to work. The truck runs fine; no loss in performance was running good etc (high speed highway/ pulling good son passing etc. not issues in performance noticed) have an oil change coming up and will bring up issue
