I’m surprised the original dealer didn’t want to take care of the issue right away and wanted to wait for extended warranty. If there is a deductible I would force the dealer to take care of it. As soon as I heard my rattle, I took it in with in a few days and they still found the chains stretched. I was the unlucky one but I would take in asap since it may stretch the chain and cause more engine damage. My recommendation is to make sure they install the latest rev and provide paperwork for it. Lots of info on forum for PNs for the latest phasers. They ended up rolling a valve cover seal that later developed into a leak so keep an eye on repair. Mistakes can happen.</blockquote>
