In CA, but just purchased a brand new 2018 Raptor for 9k under MSRP in Ohio. Pulled the trigger after getting quoted 17k over sticker at Ken Grody in San Diego.

Wow. 9K under MSRP on a 2018. I haven't heard of any better deal on a 2018. Does the vehicle have California emissions sticker under the hood and also stated on the window sticker?

It doesn't have it on the window sticker, but surprisingly has the CA emissions sticker under the hood. Should arrive in a few days via trailer-- hopefully the registration goes smoothly...

Do yourself a favor and have it SMOG checked at a FORD dealership. Because of the low miles, one of the test is a self-check by your cars computer of all the emission sensors. It will fail this test because not enough miles are driven. If the FORD SMOG Tech knows what he is doing, he will attach his tester to the OBII port while driving a specific pattern. Once his tester shows the computer has cycled through checking all the sensors it will pass.

You need the SMOG certificate to register if the dealer you purchased from is out of state.

Bought mine with an allocation from my dealer in NorCal at MSRP. They haven’t sold one with markup and refuse to do so. But you won’t get anything off either
Dealer name?

Mine passed no problem just make sure the truck is warmed up. Also you need to have a truck weight so stop at the truck stops on the way home and get it weighed. Additionaly ALL gen 2 raptors are CA emissions legal, I’m not sure why only some have it on the window sticker but mine didn’t have it either. Registration was no problem.

ALL raptors are CA legal regardless of what the window sticker says. As far as smog, if it doesn't pass just go drive it around for half hour and come back. That's all I had to do. Bought mine out of Louisiana without the CA emissions option, had no problems registering it. And yeah you'll have to get it weighed, shipping companies offer the service as well as truck stops.

There's tons of information on this site regarding all this. Don't pay CA ******** ADM. It's too easy to just buy out of state. Shipping from the south to CA only cost about $1000.

It is true all are CA emissions compliant but the DMV will do an inspection of the vehicle and unless it has that sticker under the hood, you wont be able to register or at least that is what happened in my case at the DMV I went to.

As far as the weight, that came up in my registration as well but the DMV clerk said its weight is below a certain amount so I dont need to have it weighed.

It's certainly possible people get different requirements based on which DMV clerk they work with
