The stock block has a bumpstop pad 2.5" above the axle tube. By removing the block, the pad is also removed. Without the OE pad, we're getting 2.5" more uptravel than stock. I wanted to make sure my bumpstops were allowing the same uptravel as they did when stock. With 2.5" of additional uptravel, the shocks may be the limiting factor (just like they are when extended with the Deaver leaf packs). If this is so, it isn't ideal. SDHQ's welded, axle-mounted pads are very nice. The Teraflex extensions were an easy solution for someone like me who doesn't live near SDHQ. As you can see - you're getting 2.5" MORE uptravel than stock without the bumpstop extension, and not losing any travel (from stock) with the extension.I know you really drive your Raptor and haven't seen any issues, but I have to address these things for readers that follow our lead.
