Since I didn't want to go crazy on a tune I decided to go with the pre-tune unit from Bully Dog with system monitoring ability, thus GTX. Well after easy software update via wifi, I attempted to load the software but didn't work. It displayed an error message indicating "unable to process tune selection". I email tech support at Bully Dog so hopefully, I'll have a quick solution. I am putting this notice out in case anyone else is thinking about getting this unit, might want to hold off until bugs get worked out. BTW, the only mod I have engine is CAI.

What is the programmer? Is it the SCT unit?

If so, try putting it on a trickle charger, it is finicky about voltage (in a good way, its extra safe from bricking your ecu)

SCT and Bully Dog is the same company. I was on the phone with tech this morning for approx 10 mins, he uploaded few files and problem solved. I took it out for a drive and definitely noticed the difference in both acceleration and tran shift. With all that said, I don't think it's worth $600. My choice on GTX was also based on system monitoring ability but it was preset set with no ability to display what you want to see. I recall when I had Edge programmer I was able to display parameters that I wanted to monitor.

If you can find the device S/N (probably under vehicle info) I can get a custom tune made for that truck that will blow the SCT/Bullydog preload tune out of the water.

I have not had a GTX in my hands, but usually with most touch screen SCT/Bullydog devices if you can press and hold a parameter in your gauge display you usually can change parameters or layout.

EDIT:
This video is for a Dodge but it does hint on changing some of the display parameters and menu structure
