Build date vs Order sent to the factory?

What exactly is the difference between having a build date and the order has been sent to the factory.

When I have called Ford performance in the past they have given me builds weeks and finally build dates ...which have changed multiple times obviously.

The last time I called they said the order was sent to the factory for production but the build date is still the 9th which is what it has been for the past few weeks.

Does this imply it likely the date won’t be changed now or is this still wishful thinking?

Just another way of saying the same thing. Basically goes: order confirmed (in Ford’s system, unscheduled means nothing) -> scheduled (has VIN and will for sure get built, usually initially scheduled to week of. As it gets closer it will get scheduled to day of. This can switch around and back and even go back to a week schedule instead of day.)
