Make sure you read the fine print. Cant put 17s over the Brembo system. I was looking at the too until I read that.

^^ this. Was a little disappointed when I read that. Maybe a pad upgrade would yield some positive results?

These are some bad ass brakes. I wonder why they wouldn't make a version for those of us not willing to spend the time and money upgrading wheels and tires to spend even more money on new expensive brakes?

Well, their Brembo's. They aren't interested in making lesser brakes, they only try to make the best, which means bigger rotors and large calipers.

This bums me out...I'll try stainless steel braided brake lines...with the DOT3 fluid, my brakes are mushy. Sometimes I feel like I won't stop in time. Living in the city there are too many red lights....do you guys experience the same with this heavy ass truck or am I just braking late?

You're braking too late. For a big, heavy truck, I think the brakes are good. Gotta remember, this isnt a car. Its a a nose heavy, high off the ground, vehicle that requires earlier braking then a lighter vehicle. It should not be driven like a car nor should it be expected to brake like one either.

I had the Brembos on my 97 2 Dr Tahoe loved them went from stock 11.3 to 13.1 rotors and IMO I believe the 15's would have even been better.

But yea you're going to have to go 20s on the rims for those 15 in. rotors.
And you have to watch out on the back spacing on the rims for the massive 6 piston caliber,
or a rim design that will fit the caliber. I had rims on my Tahoe that were concave on the back side so I didn't have to use spacers.

The Raptor's brakes are OK until you have an O-SHIT moment. LOL

Try EBC Drilled and Slotted rotors and the "Yellow" pads. RPG and lots of other guys are vouching for hem now and liking the very much. Check out some of the build threads. You should be able to find out about them.

I wouldn't say I've had O-shit moments, but it's definitely more spongy than my High Performance sports car. That thing stopped on a dime and was similar to the porsche GT3.
