YES! This is exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate this. I can easily screen capture exactly what I need for all of those jobs. It's worth a $21 gamble, for sure.

Brake maintenance mode is required to service the rear brakes. Per the Workshop Manual, a scan tool capable of performing the pressure bleeding procedure is required to bleed the system.

What do you mean?? a scan tool is needed to bleed brakes?

Yes, because Gen 3s are equipped with an Electric Brake Booster (EBB).

Is it possible to just put truck in "brake maintenance mode" by following those certain steps w brake pedal, ignition switch and pull and or push E-brake button to put and remove truck from maintenance mode instead of having a scan tool?

Yep, and those steps should be in the Owner’s Manual.

@FordTechOne …can we replace our rotors & pads without needing to bleed the brakes, or is it required the same as if we upgraded to braided lines? The reason for the question, is that if we upgrade our rotors & pads but dealership won’t install them…doesn’t that sort of put the aftermarket out-of-business or force the aftermarket shops to have FDRS for installs?? Not to mention, no more DIY replacements at home.

Yes, pads and rotors only require maintenance mode.

Bleeding the system, such as after caliper or brake line/hose replacement requires a scan tool to do the bleed procedure.
