your issues are unrelated to hub design, therefore you would have no more, or less issues going the IWE eliminator route. Facepalm all you want.

Never said it was the root cause. I said I didn't want to have more issues through having a constantly rotating axle.

Related or not if you do more of the thing that ultimately results in the issues it'd cause more of said issue... Speaking of rotating axles.

The patient says, " Doctor, it hurts when I do this."
Doctor replays, "Then don't do that!"

It's that simple. I'm hard on shit so stuff will go snafu eventually, and through more than stock travel, using stock CVs, with a constant rotating axle in 4X4 I sometimes have problems. Why present the potential to have more? I posted earlier on in this thread to argue about the merits and demerits on the original thread. I'm trying to move forwards with the idea here.

except you arent presenting the potential for more problems. You are creating less. always moving isnt a bad thing..... it keeps everything, all side, fresh. it doesn't get the chance to rest and create a "memory" point that rubber likes to do.

how much proof do you need? 3 other major OEMs use it without issue in millions of trucks. The aftermarket uses it without issue in a boat load of trucks. People with manual hubs leave them locked all the time, again without issues. Hell, ford used/uses it themselves without issues.

You seem set in your ways though, so we will just have to agree to disagree on this. I will continue on with my day and use what works without issue, while you continue your day and have your issues.

have a nice day.

The points being argued are moot. ANY design can/will have issues in given circumstances. And like mentioned before there are pros and cons BOTH to every solution.

Just because live axle setups don't have major issues on masses of manufactured vehicles, doesn't mean an incorrectly engineered aftermarket setup won't have issues.

Just because a manual locking setup that frees up axle spin doesn't have issues on the millions of manufactured vehicles throughout time, doesn't mean an incorrectly engineered aftermarket setup won't have issues.

As I recall off top of my head, some people have ran the RCV setup without issue, while some did encounter an issue. They ARE working on a new design we have been told several times... I think that goes to say the current version "could" be improved upon or else they probably wouldn't explore a new design.

No need to argue about it in my opinion. I'm just happy people/companies are exploring other options. If they work great, if they don't at least they are helping define what might work in the future in our application.

For most that don't know donnie on here , he's very frequent on the Facebook page . He has been running the IWE eliminators for thousands of mile snow . northern Washington state all the way to thru Baja Mexico with no issues . He's one I have seen running them the longest and is very hard on his truck .

Is it just the rcv eliminators and stock axles or the rcv axles and eliminators he has

Anyone claiming Ford, or any OEM, makes engineering decisions based on replacement part sales, needs to put the crack pipe down.

How much do you think Ford sets aside each year to cover warranty costs?

The number is larger than most companies annual revenue and would blow your mind.

Long term parts sales outweigh short term warranty coverage. Not to mention most f150's would last till they are out of warranty due to smaller tire sizes/less harsh use.

Why else would they switch from a simpler, more reliable design? Guess someone at Ford must have been smokin on a crack pipe.

Not going to happen and if it's because of your modifications then the entire issue is on you and not Ford.

Let's see, Ford I want you to design an IWE alternative so I can screw up my truck and have everything work properly. Like that is going to fly.
