Blackened Edges on the Tail Lights.

I've seen a few threads mentioning the blackening of the edges of the factory tail lights....and a few "after" pics that really looked great. Like most of you, I would really like to do a mod that doesn't cost a bunch of time and bananas. And this one , (hopefully), seems to fit the bill.

I do not like the recon/spyder/anzo multiple dot/circles look. they may be bright, but the multiple circles just are not for me. Looking forward to the day that Ironman gets his tail lights out on the market b/c he seems to have lightning in the bottle!! The multiple lines w/ side markers are sharp looking. Can't find that look anywhere else.

So, does anyone have a link to a thread detailing the blackening of the tail light edges? Like a lot of mods, there's probably a couple of different ways to do it. As always, pics would be great!

Just pull your whole tail light out and tint the whole thing. Especially on a black truck

I'm gonna probably just do the edges like Bullet, ......just not wanting to reduce the light coming through the lens and I still want to see the red parts.

Damn I love this forum.......Atleast until you guys start showing pics of the really nice aftermarket front and rear bumpers that you have installed and I'm still running factory stuff. Keeping up with the Jones' is expensive!

Yep. Yep. I got it. Thanks.....that thread had the info I needed. I went to Hobby Lobby..... alone, (although I'm secure in my manhood....u sorta can read ppl's mind when you ask them," where are your acrylic craft paints and paint brushes?") ....Bob Ross probably started out like this.... just sayin'....I'll take one for the team if my tail lights turn out half as good as the pictures show......

Thank-you Mobile!!! 12 bucks and 2 hours..... beer refreshment breaks included. Some mods you just take a lot of pride in b/c they were more than just ordering and installing. Blackened tail light edges.....Check.
